Webster Enterprises is a not for profit organization which has offered vocational training and employment opportunities to people with disabilities for over 25 years.

Goals of Program

Each person who completes the vocational program at Webster Enterprises will have:

Real Work Experience
Competitive Work Skills
Self Awareness of Vocational Abilities & Interests
Increased Employability Maturity
Job Retention Skills

Description of Services Available

 

  1. Vocational Evaluation
    Includes testing and assessment related to vocational interests, aptitude, learning styles, work personality, work temperament, and employability maturity along with situational assessments in a a real work environment, and career guidance.
  2. Skills Training
    Individuals will learn work skills such as productivity, work flexibility, time management, and dependability on the job addressing issues such as attendance and punctuality. Individuals can also learn more advanced work skills such as creating a resume, conducting a job search and interviewing techniques.
  3. Paid Work Experience
    Program Participants will learn skills while being paid for work performed at Webster Enterprises. Paid job training is available in the production, recycling, janitorial, and shipping departments.
  4. Job Coaching
    This service consists of job development, job sampling/shadowing, job placement, job training, and follow-up in competitive employment within the community.
  5. Comprehensive Vocational Guidance
    Rehabilitation Staff will be available for assistance and guidance in areas related to vocational training. The Rehabilitation Staff will utilize services offered by other agencies as needed. Referrals will be made to Vocational Rehabilitation, Smoky Mountain Counseling, and other agencies as needed.
